I like this layout too... lots of patterns on top of one another.

5th Ave Floral

Hi there... I had some left over pieces from this Write Stuff DSP and when I placed them on top of the Dusty Durango card stock, it reminds me of the 5th Avenue Floral stamp set- for that clean graphic look. Don't mind the Bermuda Bay marker in the middle of the iris, don't know what I was thinking. I think it doesn't belong there... :)

Happy to combine all my In Colors...

Hugs to you,
Liza

Thank you, Owlie

Hi, friends! How did your week go? All is well, I hope...

Cute little owlie, isn't it? I made this as a thank you for a family friend who sent us a yummy homemade moon cake for Chinese New Year! I know, a belated one!!

Then, another one I made with the same supplies. Love that sentiment...

Happy stamping to you. Thank you for stopping by...

Rich Razzleberry flower

Hello... How did your week go? I will be away all week. We will be in Singapore to take care of a few things: knee surgery for my husband, a doctor's and x ray visit for Hannah's fractured elbow and to catch up with family and friends. I scheduled some posts this week before I go as I have whipped up a few batches of cards as a gift.

I think Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive look good together. I throw in some Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun for color pops.
Another happy discovery for me: the Old Olive leaves on the flower come from the XL 2-step Bird punch. It is the bird's wing but now it double duties as leaves! Yay!! Love it when that happens!!

Recipe: (all by SU!)
Cardstock and paper: Rich Razzleberry, Kraft, Summer Sun, Sweet Pea DSP
Stamp set: Vintage Labels
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Tools: XL Fancy flower, XL 2 step bird, scallop edge, Pinking Hearts, Boho blossoms punches

A Leather flower

Hi there, friends... did you see the leather flower above?

My friend/ fellow crafter Ariani, who goes everywhere and picks up stuff for me brought me her latest find- scrap leather pieces from a leather bag artisan/ maker. So, we cut up some of these leather flowers with the Big Shot. I was soooo excited when we saw the result! My very own hand made leather flower embellishments!!

And then, I took out a piece of vanilla colored copy paper and stamped this A to Z background stamp all over. Punched out different sizes of circles with it, crumpled them up and arranged them on top of my leather flower. Fastened with a brad.
Now I have my very own vintage style leather flower embellishment :) Super excited about these :)

It comes onto a card like this:
I kept all the other elements on the card simple to showcase the leather flower.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. Happy stamping to you.

Hugs,
Liza

(Bright) Thanks...

Hello, dear friends... In the mood for bright colors, I guess :)

I love how the stem (from Happy Together set) pairs so well with the flower :) What a happy discovery for me ...

The Melon Mambo flower had been stamped with Dot Dot Dot and crumpled. And then, I took out a piece of vanilla colored copy paper and stamped this A to Z background stamp all over. Punched out different sizes of circles with it, crumpled them up and arranged them on top of my leather flower. Fastened with a brad. This makes the flower layers. I think it looks pretty together.

I hope you enjoy this bright color story today .... :)

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Hugs,
Liza

A teacher's apple

Hi, friends... Hope your week is going well. Yesterday was a public holiday here so I was able to play a little longer in the craft room :) I am saving this apple card as a thank you for Hudson's teacher. Sunshine cheery yellow color is the order of the day :) The background stamp is A to Z, in keeping with the teacher's theme. I used Tempting Turquoise ink.

This card above is different sizes of flowers punched from the Boho Flowers punch. The stem is from the Happy Together set (one of the SAB free sets). A happy little combination, in my opinion :)

I had stamped some Dot dot dot background stamp with Versamark ink on the card stock before punching, to add some texture.
Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Liza

FTL83

Good morning! This card is made with the FTL83 sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping blog. Natasha posts inspiring sketch weekly there :) Hop on over to check it out.
My card base is Certainly Celery. Background Summer Sun paper is from the Pink Flamingo DSP which has yummy happy colors. I had stamped on the background of sentiment panels for texture. The little flowers are already lying around on my desk, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry- little pops of colors.

Mmm... and finally I managed to have these Ikea rails installed... yay!! A new home for my punches. All within sight and reach :)
Next to the punches rail is an old CD rack that I had turned vertical and repurposed as a home for my dies collection. The purple bowl was my latest find- love the color. It is home to scrap die cuts that do not make it to projects/ might be used next time.

I wish you have a relaxing weekend with family/ loved ones. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Hugs,
Liza

Hello... Today's card hopefully gives an idea to use up left over paper pieces. I staggered them all one on top of another, added the journaling spot and sentiment. And then, topped it with a flower to finish.

Hope it will inspire you to look at your left over scrap in a new way :) Thank you for stopping by.

The Fruit of the Spirit

Hello... I created this shadow box gift as a birthday present for my friend Mirari. This has been a very difficult year for this young woman who had suddenly and sadly lost her husband some months back. I wanted to make her something special, created with love, that will remind her that Jesus and her friends care and love her.

That her life is a tree with abundant fruit of love, joy, happiness, patience, grace...
And the love of Jesus shines through her- in her work as a pediatric ER doctor and all the little ones that she sees every day.

And then, I made a matching birthday card...

and stamped these words inside:

I hope she likes it...

Thank you for stopping by.

Blessings and hugs,
Liza

A Star Birthday

Hello... Just making some masculine birthday cards for my stash. I had gotten the Starring You stamp set for this reason. I am playing around with the star stamp in the set and found that because of the different sizes of the stars, it makes a great patterned paper that I had paired with the A to Z background stamp as you see above :)

Here is the final card.

I hope you are having a good week. Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Liza

Good morning! I am combining both CTD83 which has the cheery colors above and FTL82 sketch below.
Here is my simple little card. Going for the elegant look with some unexpected color combo, if that is OK :)

I hope you all have a great weekend. It has been a long week for me. My little Hannah fell down and had a fractured elbow. She had a cast put on her yesterday. She is now sporting hot pink bandage and a Charlie Brown sling :)

Thank you for stopping by.

Thinking of You

Hi there :) I made this card for a church friend's mom who is in the hospital - along with some baked cake to let her know we are praying for her.

And then, another of these super quick card again that I had done here, with a different color combo and paper - which I think give it a totally different look.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day.

2 Houses

Hi there! I love these cute house images from the Welcome Neighbor DSP (a Sale a Bration gift). So here they are, one in Melon Mambo and one in Bermuda Bay. They remind me of those colorful houses in Charleston, SC.

I stamped the XL flower punch with Basic Gray ink just for a change, instead of stamping it with Chocolate Chip. I kinda like the change of look it creates :)

Thank you for stopping by! What have you created today? Have fun!

Hugs,
Liza
