A book from Sheerah

Hello there, crafting friends...

The other day, a little gift came in the mail with this beautiful hand made creations from my fellow crafter, Sheerah Teo.

A personalized book with my name on it!!

Some of the pages inside that she has individually stamped with verses.

A matching hand made card as well...

Click on the photo to make it larger. The card has lots of beautiful details on it: pink embossed texture, pink flowers, tiny embossed butterflies with pearls on it and a beautiful sentiment from God's Blessings stamp set.

Thank you so much, Sheerah! I hope you enjoy it, too.

Happy stamping,

Liza

Just Add Cake DSP

Hello there, crafting friends...

I was playing with left over patterned paper scraps from the Just Add Cake DSP and liked these colors together.

Card base is Baja Breeze, scraps of patterned paper layered on each other, the Pennants Builder Punch to make the Poppy Parade banner. Flanked by pieces of Basic Rhinestones.

A Real Red button (from the Brights Buttons designer pack) tied with twine. Sentiment is from perfect Punches stamp set, punched out with the XL Oval Punch. And call it done.

Thank you for peeking...

Perfectly Penned

Hello there, crafting friends...

I had so enjoyed stamping different kinds of patterned paper lately and I have kept several pieces of them at hand. Here is one of them:

This one was using a stamp set called Flower Fest that is in the Idea Book & Catalog page 124. I really love the water color look it creates and I am using the new In Colors ink pads with these.

I then rubbed up the center parts of the largest flower images with sponge daubers and matching ink to create that soft look. I stamped a whole piece of 8.5 x 11" piece of card stock with it so that I have a patterned paper on the ready, for whenever I need to make a card or another paper crafting project.

I cut up some of the home made patterned paper above to make this card.

I then created a banner sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set, notched one edge, crumpled it up, flanked it with Island Indigo brads and mounted it up with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals- all that after I tied up a ribbon of Calypso Coral and a pearl in the biggest flower center.

This was for my aunt's close friend's birthday. So I hope she liked it :)

Happy stamping to you...

More Up, Up & Away

Good morning, crafting friends... I am having a ball creating with the Up, Up & Away stamp set - as you can see :)

Here is a set of matching note cards I made with it, in all the In Colors combo.

I started with a piece of Naturals White card stock and stamped the hot air balloons, clouds, little birdies..., added the half doily, half circle of Crumb Cake card stock and In Color brad (love these brads... also going through them fast :) ), then rounded the right corners.

And then, since I wanted to give it away as a little gift, I thought it needed a matching folder to present these. So here it is:

I started with a Wisteria Wonder card stock as the folder base. I just scored and made them 1/2" bigger than the note card and envelope set. That's all. Then, I cut up a piece of Naturals White card stock and made my own patterned paper on it.

I tried to make it look like a folder by adding a half circle piece of Crumb Cake on it and a Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon to tie it up.

Here is a side view with all 4 note cards and matching envelopes tucked in.

Here is the matching Crumb Cake envelope.

And here is everything together with the folder:

I hope you enjoy...

Up, Up & Away in Melon Mambo

Hello there, crafting friends...

My friend Sutji came over the other day and what a special visit it was because she is my high school friend!! It is amazing that after all these years and so many moves and life changes later, we are still keeping in touch and share the same love of stamping! Yay... :) We don't see each other as often as I wish, but I treasure the stolen moments here and there that we get to visit.

She wanted me to show her heat embossing. So I pulled out this Up, Up & Away stamp set and my Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, and got to work. And being the girly girls that we are, really love the wow effect of heat embossing in Melon Mambo :)

And then, it is just a matter of finishing up the card: Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon (LOVE all the new In Color ribbons, going through all of them fast!), Pool Party Designer Series Paper Stack that I had ripped and inked on all sides, sentiment from the same stamp set and In Color brad to top off the sentiment panel.

Melon Mambo is such a happy cheerful color. Enjoy...

Happy stamping to you,

Liza

Up, up and Away

Hello, hello...

What a fun stamp set, isn't it? It has a set of scene-building images and I really love building the hot air balloons and added the little birds and clouds. How fun :)

One thing I love about having stamp sets and a Big Shot machine is to make my own embellishments. There will be days that I just stamp up a stack of embellishments to set aside and use at a later time.

Like this one:

And this one:

Colored the stripes of the hot air balloon in different markers: using the In Color 2011-2013 colors, pasted a piece of Pool Party patterned paper (from the In Colors 2011-2013 DSP Stack), Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon, and the In Color polka dot brad again :)

Happy stamping!! and I hope you enjoy...

On Board Journal

Good morning, crafting friends... how are you all doing?

Hopefully I am back on track with blogging .. :)

My friend Ana gave me this really cute idea of making a baby book for a baby shower that she hosted last week. She was going to put up the book at the entrance so people could record their best wishes for baby Benjamin!! How lovely!!

I pulled out this On Board Journal that I had been putting aside for months, then found out I love the fact that the pages inside are Very Vanilla card stock! Love it!!

We set to work by stamping the baby's name on a piece of die cut Square Scallop. I am in love with the Broadsheet Alpha stamp set. Really cool looking. Added the little monkey from Fox & Friends stamp set by stamping it off on scratch paper first.

And then we had a blast tying a bunch of different ribbons on the spirals!

And quickly decorated the back of the book with this splashes images from this stamp set called Extreme Elements.

How fun!!

Happy stamping to you,

Liza

Blessings from Heaven

Good morning, crafting friends....

The sentiment on the card above is: Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. Psalm 55:22. It is from a stamp set called: Blessings from Heaven, which is a new stamp set in the Idea Book & Catalog. Love it! (and need to hear it!!)

Almost a whole month has passed since I last blogged... I hope life finds you all well. It has been a whirlwind of medical issues in our household which just took me away from blogging. Sorry... Then, the end of summer vacation, and first week of school are here before I knew it.

I have been stamping here and there, though not a whole lot. Sesil and I made this card for our friend who just lost her father to cancer. A really quick one and I quickly took photos of it before it was sent away.

Using a new stamp set called Forever Young in the Idea Book & Catalog. With several In Colors 2011-2013: Island Indigo for the cuckoo clock, Lucky Limeade as the card base, and matching In Colors brads. Oh my, it is polka dot :)

I had stamped it on a piece of cast away office supplies. Stamped the biggest doily image from the stamp set Delicate Doilies in Crumb Cake, inked the edges with Soft Suede, and spritzed Pool Party marker to finish with my Color Spritzer Tool.

Lastly, we finished off with the row of pearls and little pearls on the clock. And stamped a matching Crumb Cake envelope.

Really love the completed look.

I hope you all have a great summer and a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,

Liza
