Big Top Birthday Quick Accents

Happy Friday, crafting friends...

How about closing the week with a trio of bright cheerful cards? They all come from the Big Top DSP and coordinating Big Top Birthday Quick Accents which make creating come quickly :)

The sentiments come from Perfect Words stamp set which is in the hostess section of the Idea Book & Catalog. I tried my new Dazzling Details on the hot air balloon (sorry for the oops...)

This is my favorite sayings :) I think it will be a good way to go card. I love that lion jumping through hoops :)

Thanks for peeking, crafting friends,

Forever Young hello

Hello there, crafting friends...

If you remember my post here, I stamped a bunch of these cuckoo clocks (in Island Indigo ink) on these cast away office supplies :) and they are sitting on my desk :)

So, I took one of them and made it into this Hello card. It is layered onto So Saffron card base, First Edition Specialty DSP and punched out Hello sentiment from the Posy Punch hostess stamp set in the Idea Book & Catalog.

A spritz of Rich Razzleberry marker and the Color Spritzer Tool, glitter brad and rhinestones finished it up.

Thanks for peeking...

Tiny Teacup

Hello there, crafting friends...

Well, I meant to post this earlier but I am training for a new job this week and it has been busy learning all new stuff at work :) So I am a little late.

Here is the FTL159 sketch that I am working on these cards. This can be found weekly over at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog and it is my fun Saturday morning activity :)

Here are my row of Tiny Teacups. This is a single stamp that is on the Idea Book & Catalog. I love the polka dot cups :) It was punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. Perfect size. Everyone of these was mounted up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I paired the tea cups with the Domestic Goddess DSP as the background and my color combo comes straight from that patterned paper pack.

The sentiment comes from the Precious Butterflies stamp set in the hostess section of the Idea Book & Catalog. I stamped it in Basic Gray ink.

Here is another version since I have all my supplies laid out there :)

I added the Daffodil Delight elements there and Basic Gray button (from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack) tied with white twine.

Thanks for visiting and happy stamping to you.

Tagtastic Congrats

Hello there, crafting friends...

Can you tell that I am not wasting a sliver of my DIY Gently Falling patterned paper from yesterday's post? :)

The small left over pieces became this card set that I had paired with the Spice Cake DSP and More Mustard card base.

I have also really enjoyed putting on the finishing touches like these Spice Cake buttons and Pool Party ruffled ribbon. {heart}...

I hope you enjoy.

Happy stamping,

Liza

Gently Falling 2

Good morning, crafting friends...

Since I still had my Gently Falling stamp set and the Spice Cake Product Suite (from the current Holiday Mini catalog) on my desk, I made a patterned paper with it that you probably had seen a snippet on my post here.

I really love the element of Pool Party color among all those warm fall colors, I find it really inspiring :)

So here are more samples with what I had made from my DIY patterned paper. I hope you enjoy...

That twill tape ribbon is really pretty together with these leaves images. I rubbed some Soft Suede ink and sponge dauber on top of the twill tape to make it look vintage.

Home made sentiment banner with the Perfectly Penned stamp set, More Mustard button tied with Bakers Twine and mounted up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is another card made with the same DIY patterned paper - done on Naturals Ivory card stock. This is for a new team mate at work that we want to welcome :)

Color combo is: Pool Party, More Mustard, Daffodil Delight and River Rock.

Love that Spice Cake Designer Buttons together with the Twill Tape ribbon like this {heart}. Mmm...

Happy stamping to you,

Liza

Petite Pairs baby

Hi there, crafting friends...

My dear friend Bella requested this project - a quick card for a baby boy that is simple enough to mass produce but still cute :) so I got to work...

Confetti stamp set as a subtle background on the bottom part and First Edition Specialty DSP for the upper part.

The stamped images are from Fox & Friends and Funky Four stamp sets. I {heart} these both and use these a lot :)

Matching stamped envelope to finish off the look.

Thank you for peeking...

More sentiments

Good morning...

Here are the rest of my sentiment pieces from this post :)

Made this one to look like a tag.

And made this one on a different day:

I find that I like the combination of So Saffron card base with the First Edition Specialty DSP background paper :) That really sets off the sentiment panel nicely.

I also broke off a new roll of Twill Tape ribbon and found that it is a nice natural color that added to a project without overpowering it. {heart}

Thanks for peeking in today...

Hugs,
Liza

Cuckoo clock best wishes

Hello there, crafting friends...

This is a special card I made for everyone in the section at work to sign... hence the triple fold card so that it can accommodate all the signatures.

My friend and fellow crafter Sasi is moving with her family tomorrow. Hence, the cuckoo clock image (from the Forever Young stamp set) which means: until we see each other again, Sasi. What a blessing to get to know you and your family.

I spritzed Pool Party marker on the Top Note die cut with a Color Spritzer Tool, added those polka dot brads from the In Color 2011-2013 Designer Printer Brads pack. And layered the Top Note die cut with a piece of Tangerine Tango card stock embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folders.

Sentiment is from Petite Pairs stamp set, stacked on top a Curly Label punch out and finished off with pearls.

Wishing you all the best in your new home, Sasi and to all of you, happy stamping.

Hugs,

Liza

Side Notes

Good morning, crafting friends....

It has been a while since I played with the sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping blog. So, today I am happy to play along...

FTL158 is here....

Here is my take:

The sentiment tag is from a pre made set of tags called "Side Notes" which is part of the Beau Chateau series and matching Beau Chateau DSP as the background.

I realized that I hardly reached out for the Basic Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, but I thought here the black ribbon set it off nicely :)

I finished off with layers of die cuts: Scallop Circle #2 and Perfect Pennant die (that has that pretty doily die cuts there), punched black flower and Basic Pearls.

Then, as a no brainer, I quickly whipped up another card with the same lay out sketch- using a different tag in the same pack:

Here it is...

Thanks for peeking in what I made today. I hope your weekend is relaxing!!

Happy stamping,

Liza

Wish Big

Hello there, crafting friends...

A while ago, I saw this post on Betsy Veldman's blog that was so inspiring, it quickly went into my "to try list" :) I really love the idea that I can use different sentiment stamps to make it a focal point for a card.

Here is my first try, using a variety of stamp sets/ sentiments.

You probably recognized that I mainly used all the new In Colors 2011-2013. I think these colors look fresh together.

Then, on another day I made one of these sentiment stacks into this "Wish Big" card. I added little button stamps from the Button, Button stamp set. Aren't they cute?

I finished off the card with pretty Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon, spritzed More Mustard marker with my Color Spritzer Tool and then attached that big Designer Spice Cake button (in More Mustard) from the current Holiday Mini Catalog tied with the Baker's Twine. I {heart} those big buttons :)

And call it done.

Thank you for visiting, dear friends...

Happy stamping,

Liza

Big Top Birthday

Good morning, crafting friends...

Hope this week is going well in your household... I have been creating quite a stack lately, here is a couple of them, using the Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper and matching Big Top Birthday Quick Accents.

Happy bright colors... Really celebratory feeling... and making creating a quick work with all the little elements from the Quick Accents pack.

No stamping except for the sentiment tag which is from the Up, Up and Away stamp set.

Thanks for peeking and enjoy the rest of your week :)

Hugs,
Liza

Spice Cake Product Suite

Good afternoon, crafting friends...

Here is another sample with the Gently Falling 2 step stamping stamp set, that I had stamped on a piece of Pool Party card stock and matching Pool Party ink pad for the inside image. Punched it out with the 2.5" circle punch and added the More Mustard button tied with hemp twine.

A Naturals Ivory card base and 2 layers of patterned papers from the DSP Spice Cake pack- which match the stamp set.

I couldn't decide on the sentiment so a "Just for you" is good and general enough, then... :)

Thanks for visiting. Happy stamping to you...

More RAKs

Hello there, crafting friends...

I have more RAKs to share with you today, each is beautifully made with love :)

This one is from my dear friend Yulis and her Little Corner blog is here. We are literally long lost friend for we went to high school together (that was half of my life ago :) ) and recently reconnected and had the happy discovery that we both love stamping and crafting!! Whoa!!

This lovely card came with a box of yummy surprise from her hometown, sweet butter bread that I remembered from my childhood and that now my children discover and love. How special to be able to share this experience with them :)

Close up coloring details... I need a coloring lesson!! :) So pretty...

Lovely balloons and everything else!! Thank you Yulis, I am treasuring this and our friendship.

Here is another RAK from Sheerah that I haven't shared.

That kraft background is a hand made paper and she stamped on the twill tape. Precious...

That little craved wooden block is so special, that is from her hometown. It says "Sarawak". She cleverly incorporated it into the card :) Great job, Sheerah!!

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at these creations today.

Happy stamping,

Liza
