Bright Blossoms Mother's Day

Happy Saturday, crafting friends...

I am sharing a couple of Mother's Day cards that I had made with the Bright Blossoms stamp set. Simple, fun and colorful.

The patterned paper is the matching DSP Summer Smooches, which will be available on June 1 with the new annual catalog.

Thanks for peeking and enjoy your weekend. It is busy in our household today!

Note book + cover

Hey there, crafting friends...

I have been thinking of making a pretty little note book that will make a small and pretty gift that friends can tuck into their purse. Hence, the idea of this note book + cover.

The layout for the notebook cover is from FTL 185  at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog here. I thought that's a genius little sketch. My scallop circle die is exactly half of that circle. Perfect. Thank you, Natasha :)

With my scorer, you can easily do that. Just score twice to make a half inch spine for the book cover (I score at 5 1/4" and 5 3/4" for a card stock size of 4 1/4" x 11").

I then finished the cover with Summer Smooches DSP, Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, and the flower images from the Bright Blossoms stamp set. I can totally make a bunch of this note book. That would be a nice idea for a party favor.

Here is the inside of the note book:

Here is my current display in my stamping room :) I love this petite purse and the fabric brad. Soo cute :)

Summer Smooches Cheers

Hey there, crafting friends...

Here are 2 cards that I made with the Summer Smooches product suite. The patterned paper is so adorable :) Love the bright colors and the polka dots. That Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon is new.

This one is combining 2 different patterns of the DSP. My card base is Naturals Ivory and I think the neutral color card base really brings out the patterns.

The sentiment is from a set called Fabulous Phrases in the Idea Book & Catalog. It has a bunch of word stamps that you can mix and match to make your own. I stamped this one on Naturals Ivory card stock and punched it out with the Small Oval punch.

And lastly, the retired list is out, in preparation for the new Annual Catalog on June 1 and to make room for new ones. If you want to peek on the list, the info is on my online store here under "promotions".

Thanks for peeking :)

Altered oatmeal container: Tagtastic

Hi there, crafting friends...

A couple of weeks ago I made this little gift of home made pecan granola and packaged it inside an embellished oatmeal container, added a matching tag and of course, a matching card to go with it.

This is for our friends: Ridwan and Utami :) that I brought with us when we went to visit their house.

This patterned paper is from Cheerful Treat DSP which is part of the hostess goodies. Pretty and fast.

The frame behind the Friend sentiment (punched with 1 3/4" circle punch) is from last SAB that I had punched out with the 2 1/2" circle punch, then mounted up on Satmpin' Dimensionals and added a tiny Melon Mambo flower to finish it up.

Here is the tag, using Tagtastic hostess set. Ahh... it says: special treat :)

Thank you for peeking, crafting friends... Happy stamping to you.

Yummy Watermelon

 Good morning, crafting friends...

I had in mind of trying to make my own watermelons, after seeing it on my copy of 365 Cards book, which you can get here.

Seriously, these watermelons made me smile :) 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and 1 3/4" circle punch do the trick. Both circles cut in half. Horeeyy!! What a fun discovery!! This one is for Hannah's teacher, it was her birthday on Friday.

FTL186 sketch below is my starting point. Well... it did not quite end up the same, because the watermelons are quite a little bigger.

Here is a close up where the watermelon got eaten :) That bit was "cut" with a 3/4" circle punch.

I used Garden Garden and Poppy Parade card stocks for the watermelons. Stamped dot, Dot, Dot with Versamark on the Poppy Parade card stock. Inked all edges. Added the Early Espresso Baker's Twine and sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for peeking.

Happy stamping,

Liza

Precious friendship

 Hello there, crafting friends...

Hope your week is going well so far. Mine goes by pretty fast- work, taking care of the kids after school, crafting, blogging, and preparing for our upcoming move this summer ... that sure makes time flies by :)

Here are my cards today.

This first one is a personal favorite, I really like how it turned out. I especially like the "note" look focal point. The sentiment is from Precious Butterflies hostess stamp set. I added a Rich Razzleberry flower made from the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch.

And here is a couple of quick cards that I made with the Cheerful Treat DSP and the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit.

The swirl behind the flower is from Vintage Vogue stamp set and the sentiment is from Friendly Phrases, mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals and tagged with a silver Mini Brads.

Thank you for peeking.

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning, crafting friends...

I started my pile of Mother's Day cards ... as you can see.

More banners today :) This is an almost one layer card, using a frame that I had die cut with the Oval Scallop die.

I finished the banner with Pool Party Baker's Twine (attached with glue dots).

Thanks for peeking...

Petite Purse die

Happy Easter Sunday, crafting friends...

Here is a picture of the Summer Smooches product suite. I really {heart} this color combo :) Did you spy the cute paper purses up there?

Here is mine :)

I made these yesterday morning before we headed out the door. The purple one (Wisteria Wonder) is for Karolina (using my hoarded wooden bird embellishment that my dear friend Ariani brought back from Denmark), the middle one is for Herly who loves orange (did you spy the Summer Smooches fabric brad?), and the other purple one is for Indra.

Here is a top look.

You might see more of these paper purses :) I love embellishing these... This picture makes me happy, it is currently the wall paper in my cell phone.

Happy creating to you all,

Liza

Summer Smooches

Good morning, crafting friends...

It is time for Summer Smooches :) New DSP and matching fabric brad.

The Clean and Simple Stamping blog has this sketch up FTL185 this weekend and this is my starting point.

Cheerful patterned paper - which is currently available until April 30 and it will be included in the upcoming Stampin' Up! annual catalog, so you can look out for those.

The yellow circle scallop was cut with the Scallop Die, cut up in half. The flower was cut up with 1 3/8" and 1" circle punches, crumpled up and smoothed back out together, topped with the Summer Smooched fabric brad and mounted up with Stampin' Dimensionals- to mimic the flowers in the patterned paper.

Very easy idea to make your own embellishments.

I finished off the card with a bow of Island Indigo Baker's Twine.

Thank you for peeking.

Happy weekend to you all,

Liza

Sweet Shop 2

Hello there, crafting friends...

The Sweet Shop line in the Occasions Mini Catalog is just the cutest. There is a pack of Sweet Shop Designer Stickers that I have just been having fun creating with :)

Here is one of them, stacked up on a different sizes of Framelits Dies: Labels Collection. Pretty paper, too- those hearts on the background are embossed.

This one is a stamp set called Party This Way which comes with a trendy banner image - and it is polka dot :) So cute.

I am stamping these banners on a piece of First Edition DSP, tied my Baker's Twine and added the sentiment. This is a quick one.

Thanks for peeking.

Hugs,

Liza

Up in the Air

Hello there, crafting friends...

Happy spring! I am sharing 2 cards that I made using an image in a stamp set called Up in the Air. It is the current hostess stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The set comes with 3 spring themed images. I have used them all, then I realized that I did not take pictures of the other samples :)

Aren't these fun to play with :)

My card base is Peach Parfait, with a matching Peach Parfait DSP, a strip of book print paper, a tag that I had cut with my Big Shot and the 2-tag die (mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals), a button from the Brights Designer Button pack and Island Indigo Baker's twine on the button.

Lastly: a spritz of Peach Parfait marker and my trusty Color Spritzer Tool :)

Thank you for peeking, crafting friends... Hope your week is a good one.

Hugs,

Liza
