Card Base Pop n Cuts Die

Hello there, crafting friends... Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday so far!!

Just want to share the October special - valid for Oct 1- 31 and it is also valid for all online orders. Wahoo!!

Get $25 extra hostess dollars
when you have a qualifying* party. That’s $65 in free products for you (instead of the $40 standard amount)! It’s Stampin’ Up!’s 25th anniversary so let’s bring on the parties and free products!

*$250 in party sales before tax and shipping

And here is today's card...

Featuring the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts Die. There is the unique rounded edge on the bottom corner and a slot that you can open and close. The die is designed to match with 2 other dies that will make pop up cards (as you will see them in the annual catalog) but it also works wonderfully if you just want to cut up a fancy card base like this one - easily.

Here it is closed up. Loved it.

My card base is Pistachio Pudding. I paired it with the Sweater Weather DSP from the Holiday Catalog and the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape.

The sentiment stamp is a Christmas set called: Oh, Goodie!

Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Oh Goodies, Notable Notions
Ink pads: Pistachio Pudding, Early Espresso
Card stock: Pistachio Pudding
Tools: Big Shot machine, Card Base Pop n Cuts die, 1 1/4" scallop circle punch
Accesories: Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Sweater Weather DSP

Thanks for peeking.

Hugs,
Liza

Tags 4 You

Hello there, crafting friends...

This is a quick and easy card that I made last week, because my first thought was: wouldn't it be cool to make fall leaves colors using the Crisp Cantaloupe color. It is not quite the natural color it should be, but it still falls within a variation of it.

So I started to work.

I made a bunch of die cut leaves with my Bigz Autumn Accents die and Crisp Cantaloupe textured card stock from the Coredinations In Colors 2013-2015 pack.

Then, I turned to the new bundle of Tags 4 You stamp set and matching Label Bracket punch (from the Holiday Catalog) to finish off the project. Whoa! It was so easy to use. That makes me happy. (+ 2 buttons to accentuate the leaves). Done.

My background patterned paper is from Sweater Weather DSP.

Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Tags 4 You
Ink pads: Chocolate Chip, Baked Brown Sugar (for the edges)
Card stocks: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe textured Coredinations card stock, Sweater Weather DSP
Tools: Big Shot machine, Label Bracket punch
Accessories: Bigz Autumn Accents die, Brights designer button, Very Vintage Designer Button, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Thank you for taking a peek today.

Hugs,

Liza

Thinlits Label Card

Good morning, crafting friends...

Today's card is a little different, as you can see.

I am using a new line of die called "Thinlits" that will take your Big Shot die cut machine use to the next level. This particular Thinlits die is called Thinlits Label Card and it makes a flip card (pretty cool! I first saw it demonstrated during SU! Convention this past summer). I love the surprise factor when the recipient opens the card :)

Now, my dear friend/fellow paper crafter Lia's birthday is coming up, so I raked my brain for a special card to send to her.

So, here is my flip card.

You can make the flip card as is, but when I first rolled it out from the Big Shot, I felt it was a bit naked. So I added a card base to it. I think that looks better :) The die comes with little bits and pieces that you can use for your projects and this matching nesting label shape to go with the flipping part.

The patterned paper I am using is called Birthday Basics DSP and it is really fun.

Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Cycle Celebration, Make a Wish
Ink pads: Early Espresso, Raspberry Ripple, Bermuda Bay, Summer Starfruit
Card stocks: Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Tools: Big Shot machine, Thinlits Label Card die, Decorative Label punch, 1 3/4" circle punch
Accesories: Birthday Basics DSP, Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Brights Designer Buttons, Early Espresso Baker's Twine

Thanks for stopping by, crafting friends.

Witches' Brew (Happy Halloween)

Hi there, crafting friends... It is October already! Happy October!

This is my attempt at this sketch below from Clean and Simple Stamping blog (which I love to follow but don't always execute).

This is seriously a 10 minute card, I whipped up 3 at one sitting quickly. I finally figured out how to use the skull tape from Witches' Brew Designer Washi Tape in the Holiday Catalog. I paired it with a sentiment from the That's the Ticket stamp set and it makes a good pair.

The background behind the sentiment looked empty, so I added a random splatter stamped image from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Done.

Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Gorgeous Grunge, That's the Ticket
Ink pads: Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango
Card stock: Naturals Ivory
Tools: Ticket punch, Large Oval punch, 3/16" corner rounder
Accessories: Witches Brew Designer Washi Tape, Brights Designer Buttons, Large Jewels Basic Rhinestone, Brights Candy Dots.

Thanks for peeking.
