Hello! We are just passing our first month living in Jakarta, Indonesia. There has been a lot going on in our lives as we are still adjusting to a new life and new routine but things are fine. A parade of cupcakes

Hello! We are slowly settling down and I am slowly back to creating. We got our air shipment a while back (that contains a little of my craft supply) but the bulk of our shipment is not here yet. I made a birthday card for my husband's nephew Noah's 2nd birthday (sorry, forgot to take a photo of that card! It is already in the envelope ready to mail). But after that, I felt inspired to make more cupcake cards so I ended up having a short stack of these in different color combos.

These cupcakes were colored with a variety of Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write markers, punched out with 1 3/4" circle punch and mounted up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I also used a variety of Stampin' Up! patterns pack I and II which were past hostess set level 1. Enjoy!

A new home in Jakarta, Indonesia

Hello there! We finally made it into our new home in Jakarta, Indonesia- 8,000 miles away from Falls Church, VA. We have enjoyed our cross country road trip from Washington DC to San Francisco, made it sea to shining sea. We really enjoyed visiting with all friends and family along those 3,000 miles.

We are getting used to a new routine. My husband plunged himself right into work right away and got sick last week (but he enjoys his new job and seems really really excited). My eldest son starts kindergarten this week, a big milestone in our family. Everyone is doing well.

Still living out of suitcases, so really until our shipment arrives, I will not have much of a card making supply to speak of, which explains why all of the cards that follow today are super super simple. I stamped directly onto patterned papers on all the projects below with Basic Black ink. Enjoy!!

This is a simple one for a special couple, who discipled me and led me to Christ a long time ago. They are now retired in South Carolina.

This next one is my thank you to you all. Wanting to make a summery card. I don't know if I will be able to create when I am on the road but I have packed my luggage and I have a little supply in it.

Introducing... Soft Suede

The next In Color is Soft Suede, it will be my favorite neutral. The kind that goes with everything.
My children picked one of the papers from my new stash, Tall Tales Designer Series Paper as their Father's Day card for Daddy. As you can see, I finished the rest :) This paper will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalog starting July 1.

The next card was for CC222 last week at SCS which is to use white 1 layer cardstock with another ink color. It seems like a no brainer, doesn't it? But it took me 3 days to get this one :) I stamped around the card base with Razzle Dazzle to make some kind of a frame. Then added my sentiment and ribbon to finish. All in Soft Suede.

I also just want to let you all know, I will not be posting again for a while after this Thursday. My husband got his orders paper last week (he is a foreign service officer) and the movers are coming on June 18-19, this Thursday. They will be packing this computer to our next home, in Jakarta, Indonesia. I will have my essential supply in my luggage * wink* who can live without a paper trimmer, right? Hugo has been very gracious that I can put my favorite supply on the road with us. I will pack a choice few supply in our air cargo and the rest will go with our sea shipment of household effects. It will be a while until I see them all again (like 4 months, maybe... sigh...)

But I am excited that I will have my own craft space in our new home. We will be using one bedroom as my craft room/ family activity room (so they can all hang out with me when I create). I have been thinking of organizational ideas in my mind :)

We will be on the road starting this Thursday (hotel rooms, road trip, we will be driving cross country to San Francisco at which point, we will either sell the car or ship it to Jakarta). So I have a lot to do before Thursday. But we are all excited and looking forward the new adventures.

Thank you all for stopping by.
