A present...

Guess what I received yesterday? A padded envelope filled with these YUMMY brads from my crafting buddy Marlene.

And this fabulous birthday card! I am the lucky recipient of this quilt card. I have always admired the quilt look but have never achieved one that I like. THANK YOU!

And finally, this jar of buttons that are mostly from Marlene, too! The jar graces my craft room permanently. This is what Mirari snapped the other day, it looks so yummy! Little hands like to dip in it :)

Thank you Marlene for the sweetest thought. Keepup spreading the joy! I am glad your love language is giving gifts :) Thank you all for stopping by. Good day to you all!

Hugs,
Liza

Stash of cards

Hello! My friend Mirari snapped these photos (I love them!). As you see, I have made a stack of cards from the layout that I stumbled upon on this post, that somehow I love and I have gone through quite a number of different patterned papers and color combo with it. I think these are happy little cards :)
And this one is for Mirari's brother in law's birthday. I went along the nautical theme with light blue, kraft combo and the rope. Mirari is a doctor, studying to be a pediatrician. The hospital where she studies/works is very near our home so she gets to come by often. It is always a treat when we get to hang out, as you can see :)

Thank you for stopping by.

Blessings,
Liza

Christmas in a Shoebox

Hello! Today's post is about Shoebox :) I have been knee deep in these :) This is our church annual event where each child in each orphanage that the church sponsors will get a shoebox. The shoe boxes are categorized in gender and age and the gifts inside are age appropriate. For example, a 3-5 year old will get little toys, a little toothbrush, some toiletries, crayons, school supplies.

This is the finished boxes :) 500 of these...

Everybody has been so inspired, there were both money and toy donations. I have been placing orders for these gifts with my sister who runs a gift business who gives me a generous discount. (Thanks, Luc!) Boxes and boxes of stuff arrive in our apartment. My craft room is piled up with gifts :) (to the delight of my little Hannah). She picked out all the 3-5 year old girl gifts, pink water bottles, pink lunch boxes, pink this, pink that... most of the pink stuff above are all Hannah's pick :)

Last Sunday, a bunch of us got together to sort these boxes. Big helpers and little helpers. What a blast! We ate, we worked, and then we ate again before we cleaned up.

Lastly, that was me making cards in my craft room. My friend Mirari snapped this, looking like I am on top of the pile of gifts :) It is midweek already here, hope your week is a good one. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Blessings,
Liza

A heart for Hannah

Happy Sunday! Bright and sunny here :) Here is a framed piece that I made for my daughter to put on her nightstand, next to her bed.

The heart is die cut with the SU! Hearts and Brackets. And then I went on digging for all kinds of embellishments to fill up the heart, layering some of them, and putting on different textures as well. (Note: this would be a good project to make after a major clean up when you find all kinds of treasures that you had forgotten about :) )

And then I placed the heart with plenty of Stampin' Dimensionals to make it pop up against its pink patterned paper backdrop. Stamped her initial on the corner. I finished with a length of Pink Pirouette ribbon on the frame.

Wouldn't this make a personalized and pretty hand made gift too for a little girl's birthday or a special friend? Just change the initial :) I need to stock up on these frames...

Recipe (all by SU! unless mentioned)
Frame: Ikea
Cardstock and paper: Chocolate Chip, Love You Much retired DSP
Stamp set: Taffy Alphabet
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Everything else: Pink Pirouette ribbon (retired), Hearts and Brackets die, Big Shot machine, Stampin' Dimensionals, various embellishments

Merry!

Hello!! I think this is a happy little card :) Love this layout and the cute patterned paper :) No bulky embellishment to make easy mailing come the Holiday season.

The way the mittens and woolen caps are arranged on the patterned paper, inspired me to make my own. After deciding on the colors, I started with a piece of 4X11" of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the different leaves on it in the same fashion. These are invites for my husband's office party in our house. I still some more to finish.

Hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by.
