A handmade birthday present

Hello! I made this special project for a little girl's 3rd birthday. Pink and brown and personalized with her initials. I hope she likes it. I made a similar one for Hannah before here. All of the buttons and whatnots in the middle are Hannah's choice :)

I added a punched flower stamped with the A to Z background stamp (available in the Occasions Mini catalog).

I made a matching birthday card. The background paper is from the new Sweet Pea DSP (available in the Occasions Mini catalog) which comes as a stack of 48 pieces.

Here it is together...
And here it is ready to go all wrapped with brown rice paper given by Ariani. I attached a matching pink punched flower, run in my Big Shot machine with the Perfect Polka Dot impressions folder.

I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Liza

But anyway, here is my card for today.

Vintage Labels

Happy Friday! I saw this gorgeous photo over at Melissa Phillip's blog post here, it is so beautiful! I immediately jotted down my color combo: Rose Red, Kraft, Sahara Sand, Naturals Ivory (which is kinda grainy cream card stock that gives it a vintage look, as opposed to Very Vanilla which is smooth cream card stock. If you see what I mean).

We are going to a wedding this Sunday so this is what I made for the wedding card.

Pulled out the Vintage Labels stamp set, it is one of the Sale a Bration set (still going on until March 31, 2010). It is a clear stamp so that I could line up the frame first and then added the sentiment. It matches the Wide Oval punch, so it is quick creating.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Liza

Hello Baby

Hello! I just want to say thank you for leaving comments/emails. They are very encouraging. I appreciate them all. I am happy if you like what I make :)

The only other family on our hallway is having a baby boy. They just brought the baby home last Friday. They have been gone for weeks. So, I made this card along with a dish over to their door.

These little Fox & Friends come in handy! My color combo is Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay and Kraft.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you all have a good day!

Hugs,
Liza

Money envelope

Hi there! How about a hand-made hand-stamped money envelope for Chinese New Year? I made one this weekend and like the result of what I think is east meets west style. Scrapbook paper and stamps in traditional Chinese New Year color of red and gold.

I have been thinking about money envelope for the last week or two and finally decided of actually making an altered envelope, as opposed to making one from scratch. The envelope is a regular office supply coin envelope. I covered it with the Raspberry Tart DSP, framed with Real Red card stock.

Here is a detailed shot of the sentiment. I embossed the Curly Label with my new SU! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder (available in the Occasions Mini catalog).

For those of you who are not in this part of the world, Chinese New Year is the celebration of the lunar new year. This year, it will fall right on Valentine's Day on Feb. 14. On that day, little children get money stashed in a red envelope. I have a whole bunch of little nephews and nieces. So I had better get busy making some more red envelopes :) This one will be for my parents.

Thank you for stopping by. What are you making this weekend?

Hugs,
Liza

Wall Art 2

Hello! Here is more wall art :) I made 4 of these altogether.

Love that sentiment: Follow your heart. I added a little Rose Red heart mounted on Dimensionals with my new punch.

Here is another one, simply cut from that Sweet Pea DSP and added the sentiment with a marker (I omitted the word "small". The sentiment says "small wonder") and mounted on dimensionals.

And this is all 4 of them together. They look so cheerful :) Now I have to decide which wall it is going to be :)

Stamp set: Whimsical Words
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Tools: Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Wide Oval, Curly Label, Small Heart punches
