"S"

Hello blogging friends... :) I am making a farewell gift for a colleague and neighbor who is moving to their next posting. I have a couple of these Ikea frames already. I need to go pick up more of these when we visit the nearest Ikea from here, in Singapore.

I am thinking somewhere along a neutral color scheme would be neutral enough to put anywhere.

I printed out a large S with my printer, picking a font and size that will fit the frame's opening, then cut out the letter with my trustworthy Paper Snips. The backing is a piece of Kraft card stock. I then gathered my collection of neutral and metal buttons. Arranged them on the letter. And voila...

I hope they like their personalized gift :)

Today we are flying out to Frankfurt, Germany for our European trip. Looking forward to some family time together...

Thank you for peeking in today. I hope you like the idea of a hand made present. You can easily adapt this for anyone. Happy creating!

Hugs,
Liza

Swirly flower

Good morning, friends.... here is a simple idea that I stumbled upon the other day while figuring out what to put under this Prima paper flower :)

I already had my swirl stamp from the Season of Joy set (yep, it is a Christmas set) out on my work table, so it becomes my "stem"- I stamped it in Sahara Sand ink.

The rest of the card came together quickly after that. My card base is Garden Green. I take a look at that color in a new way lately :)

All righty friends... I will hopefully have time to make something else before we leave for our big trip to Europe... but if not, I want to let you know that you will see me after my return :)

Happy stamping, dearies...

Liza

Country patriotic

Hello there, friends... I found this pretty country gingham paper from October Afternoon which I think will also make pretty patriotic cards, country style.

I paired these with Kraft to make it rustic-looking. I also love the fact that the Stars#2 die has 4 different sizes of stars in it. Nice for layering...

Are you making plans for July 4 already this year? Happy planning...

Liza

Hi there, stamping friends :) Here are the rest of my patriotic cards while I had the same supplies out :) I added random stars at the bottom using Versamark ink.

Here is all of them together.

Enjoy...

Patriotic

Hi there... while looking at my left over negative image from the Stars #2 die, I came across the idea for these cards. It just happens to be the size of a card front and thus born, my patriotic cards today. All you need is a backing layer of patterned paper. Never throw anything away, I guess :)

My card base is Naturals Ivory and color combo is the traditional Night of Navy, Real Red and cream.

Hope you like it. You can easily change the color combo into whatever you happen to need to make. Happy creating...

Liza

Tropical Party 2

Good morning! Hope you all had a fun long weekend and now summer is officially in. I am still playing with the Tropical Party stamp set. Here is a large 5x7" card.

I will be at the British Women Association Bazaar today, which is my last one for the season. The next series of bazaar will be the Holiday Christmas season. So, I will have some months of break before I think of Christmas cards :)

Love these bright colors and the pretty Island Oasis DSP.

Thank you for stopping by today and happy stamping.

Hugs,
Liza
