Time to Sale a Brate

Happy Friday, crafting friends...

Sale a Bration 2013 is here and it has exciting items to choose from for every $50 purchase. It is running from Jan 22 to Mar 22 this year. Click on my online store for more info.

Here is baby card I made yesterday, featuring a new stamp set in Spring Catalog called Henry Says. Super cute, isn't it? I stamped the elephant image in grey, added some shading with a colored pencil and sprayed Sahara Sand marker with my Color Spritzer Tool.

The background paper I used is also a new one in the Spring Catalog called Sunshine & Sprinkle DSP. Very appropriate for a baby boy.

Off to craft some more this weekend ...

Happy stamping,

Liza

Holiday Cards from friends

Good morning, crafting friends...

I hope your week has a good start so far. Yesterday was my daughter Hannah's birthday, she turned 7 so we had a busy day of goody bags, cupcakes, opening presents... She got a badge from school that says: Happy Birthday that she was wearing all day. It was a very special day, indeed :)

I don't have anything to share of my own but here are the holiday cards I received from friends for you. I have received more but have not got around to capturing them on camera yet. They are displaying in my craft room right now to enjoy and to smile at every time I enter the room :)

This one is all the way from my dear friend Lia in Paraguay! Amazing that it travelled that far. Love the pretty lace and wow Lia! Thank you!

This one is from Marlene who never forgets my birthday and other occasions with her stylish cards and hand made creations. Love you, dear!

Thank you for peeking, crafting friends...

Hugs,

Liza

Feel Goods

Hello there, crafting friends...

As soon as I saw this Color Throwdown combination, I jotted it down- they are so pretty together.

So, here is my take:

The images are from Betsy's Blossoms set and the sentiment is from a new one in the Spring Catalog called Feel Goods. A large jewel tops off the So Saffron flower image and finished off with Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine.

Thank you for peeking.

Hope you're having a creative day today.

Snowflakes in a Jar

Good morning, crafting friends...

A few days ago, a friend came over for a crafting play date and she needed some New Year's cards. I thought it would be a fun idea to use the jar image from the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and combine it with the snowflake stamp from Jolly Bingo Bits, to make snowflakes in a jar. So here is what I came up with.

I like it that my jar stamp can be used year round now :)

I am using the new burlap ribbon in the Spring Catalog: Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon and added some splash of Pacific Point marker and the Spritzer Tool.

Happy creating to you. I hope you have a chance to create something fun this week.

Smarty Pants

Good morning, crafting friends...

I am having fun with the new stamp sets that will be part of the 2013 Sale a Bration, as you can see!

Here is a set called Patterned Occasions that has this cute image - and color appropriate for a boy or a man.

I love the discovery that I can layer a Wide Oval punch and a Decorative Label together to make a cute focal point, and I really love the Large rhinestone, it is not leaving my work desk!

Hope your week is going well so far.

Happy creating,

Liza

Vintage Verses

Good morning, crafting friends...

Today the kids start school again, after the winter break and I am hoping to spend more time in the craft room :)

Here is a quick card that will be super easy for a make and take or to mass produce (whatever your need may be), using the upcoming 2013 Sale a Bration set called Vintage Verses. I love the font and the style, stamped in Island Indigo ink.

I cut up the patterned paper (from Twitterpatted DSP) with the Edgelits Finishing Touches, tied up with Island Indigo ribbon.

I thought the area behind the stamped sentiment is a little blank, so I pulled out the Confetti stamp set and Versamark ink to add some subtle background.

I finished off with a large rhinestone (new in the Spring Catalog) and a corner rounder on the bottom corners.

Have a good week to you all.

Spring Catalog 2013

 Hello there crafting friends,

I am on a roll, am I? I just want to share that the new Spring Catalog 2013 is here. More info is on my online store here.

One of the stamp sets in the new Spring Catalog is this set below called Feel Goods that I am going to send to congratulate my downline members who had new recruits last month. They are doing awesome work and I am so proud!

The card is using a very pretty and feminine new DSP called Tea for Two. It is my favorite! I layered 2 of the patterns together, edged them all with Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede ink to give it a vintage look, tied up the Basic Gray ribbon, which is 1/4" Stitched grosgrain ribbon, and added the sentiment layer, plus a big pearl from the Basic Pearls Large pack.

And it is good to go.

I am wishing you a happy Friday and a nice weekend ahead!

Liza

Postage Due

Good morning, crafting friends...

Some time ago I made a set of gift for (new) and dear friends here who just celebrated their 25th anniversary.

It is a book that their guests can write their wishes in and a matching anniversary card to go with it.

The patterned paper is from Fan Fair Designer Series Paper and I am using the stamp set called Postage Due (a new one in the annual Idea Book). I stamped direct on the patterned paper for the book cover and added plenty of ribbon and embellishments and finished off with the family's initial "L".

Here is the matching card:

My card base is Island Indigo and the stamped image is also using Island Indigo ink.  Lots of 3's on this card: the number 3 (they are a family of 3), 3 little pearls and a cluster of 3 die cuts on the sentiment :) Added a border of punch out  Scallop Ribbon on the bottom edge, then finished off with a piece of Baker's Twine.

I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by.

Patterned Occasions

Happy New Year, crafting friends... My first post in 2013 after a LONG time. I have been channeling a lot of my energy into getting the house organized, the craft room organized (ahem!) and it has been SLOW going.

However, today I got to sit down and craft with the new goodies that came as a sneak peek to the upcoming Sale-a-Bration. This is a new stamp set that will be part of the SAB (starting on January 22, 2013) called "Patterned Occasions". Of course, being in India, I pay a lot of attention to elephants! How can you not, when they are occasionally walking the streets of Delhi. So, this is the first image that I picked out of the stamp set.

My sketch comes from this FMS sketch.
Here is my take:

My color combo comes straight from the patterned paper I use from this Designer Series Paper set called International Bazaar: Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight.

I opted to use the ric rac edge from the Edgelits Finishing Touches, then added the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder on a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and finished off with a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon.

I am using a piece of bling on one of the Pool Party flowers from the new Jewels Basic Rhinestone Large (it is in the current Spring Catalog).

And then, with the left over pieces from the previous project, I am making another similar card below:

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy stamping to you all,

Liza
