Blue Vintage Birthday

Hello there... I haven't been posting as often as I would like to be, as you can see. But let me share a couple of projects today- taking a break from Red White and Blue, ok? :)

I swear, that's the last of my Beau Chateau Side Notes :) you won't see it again :) I love them to bit, as you can see.

Island Indigo ruffled ribbon looks lovely with Marina Mist blue, in my humble opinion.

Next up is another Marina Mist blue.:

Just cutting the DSP beau Chateau to the lovely frame part and layered it with the blue patterned paper underneath.

Doily die cut is from the Perfect Pennant die, which as usual, I had cut up several at a time, ready to go - sitting on my desk. So this one was simply stamped with the sentiment. Tied with ribbon, popped up with the Pear Pizzazz button (from the Spice Cake designer buttons collection). Very demoable card for you demonstrators everywhere :)

Thanks for peeking,

Liza

Stitched Stockings

Hello there, crafting friends... What did you make over the weekend?

A friend came over last week to play in my craft room to help me make more Red White and Blue cards and we decided to play with the Stitched Stockings stamp set. So, naturally, I showed her how to make your own patterned paper with these cute stockings :) You know come to think of it, I really like the outcome. What a cute stamp set. And then, you see, I added tiny snowflakes (from the Short & Sweet stamp set) to fill up the empty spaces in Soft Suede.

What did I make with this Stitched Stockings patterned paper? A couple designs below:

I am combining the home made patterned paper with the Stocking Builder Punch to make the punched image as the focal point. And then, I added the Dazzling Details glitter to make it merry :)

Next up is this FTL164 layout that I had up on a piece of scratch paper for me to play with.

I cut up a small piece of my home made patterned paper, matted it with Crumb Cake card stock and made the stockings paper as my focal point. (Don't forget to ink all the edges for added depth and dimension).

I added a strip of Very Vanilla 3/8" Velvet Stitched Ribbon (use a piece of Sticky Strip to make the velvet ribbon stick neatly), a Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Buttons, tied with Cherry Cobbler/ Whisper White baker's twine.

I rounded the bottom corner to finish it up.

This is easy enough to mass produce. I made 3 in no time :) Hope you enjoy.

Happy stamping...

Red White and Blue

Good evening crafting friends... How are you? I am happy that it is Friday :)

What have I been up to lately? I have been making Red White and Blue cards in preparation to stock up our American booth at an upcoming international charity bazaar.

The profit will go to raise fund for children with cancer that have exhausted their family's resources for treatment in a local hospital here. I have personally visited this hospital several times and I am honored to make cards for this cause and hope it will make a little difference.

Well, first off I decided to play with chipboard. That is a chipboard house from a chipboard pack called On Board Merry Medley. I stamped a partial swirl image from a single stamp called Elizabeth on it.

Then, I used the same single Elizabeth stamp again on this card:

I used it as a full image and a partial image as you can see here. Ah, check out that Denim Jean ribbon. I really love how it looks.

For this card below, I thought of a stamp set that I barely use. It is called Cherish Friendship and it is in the big Idea Book & Catalog. That set has a nice friendship sentiment in it.

Since I am not a colorist, I left the image as is :) Simply stamped in Night of Navy ink.

I will be sharing more of these Red White and Blue cards in the coming days. I hope you enjoy.

Happy stamping to you...

Designer Frames

Good morning crafting friends...

I don't know if you have noticed that there is a set of embossing folders in the Idea Book & Catalog called "Designer Frames". They are very pretty...

I had embossed several of them randomly on Naturals White card stock, ripped up some of them and had them sit on my desk until I was ready to use them :)

Here are a few of these:

Layered them up with the Tiny Teacup single stamp and the Domestic Goddess DSP. Making it a great Teacup themed card :)

Here is the the other bit of the Designer Frame. I had crumpled it up and sponged it with ink for added texture.

Then, with another piece of the same Domestic Goddess DSP, I made these two friendship cards.

I paired these 2 cards with the Precious Butterflies hostess stamp set- love the sentiments there. One of these went to my dear friend and ex room mate, Jenny on her recent birthday :)

Love these fresh color combinations too - Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

Thank you for peeking. I hope it gave you some idea on how to play with these Designer Frames.

Happy stamping,

Liza

Random projects...

It is already November!! Whoa!! :) Doesn't time fly?

Here are the cards that I have not yet posted. I hope you enjoy...

For my uncle's birthday last month:

I dry embossed the card base with the Houndstooth Embossing Folders, swiped Soft Suede ink over it with my sponge dauber and then added the Happy Birthday circle stamp (from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess stamp set). Then simply finished off the card with an Island Indigo ruffled ribbon.

This one below is also randomly using bit and pieces on my desk. Some scraps, some ribbon, added a sentiment and button.

Combining Perfect Plum with the rest of the Beau Chateau DSP. Liking how it comes out, too :)

The ribbon is Elegant Eggplant but it works.

And lastly, a thank you card :) for the birthday gifts that people sent to me :)

That's all for now, folks...

Happy stamping,

Liza

Sweet Little Love

Hello there, crafting friends...

This Pink Pirouette card is going all the way to Hong Kong to welcome baby Eliana :) (waving hi to Raquel)...

Sweet Little Love is just the perfect sentiment from Fabulous Phrases stamp set. The background paper is called DSP Beau Chateau, that I had cut up on the part that had those pretty flowers. I added a piece of Sticky Strip and Chantilly crochet trim, a Bashful Blue button tied with twine.

Other supplies that I have used include: Always Elegant stamp set, Spritz Tool and Pink Pirouette marker, Soft Suede ink and Sponge Dauber (for the edges) and Basic Pearls.

Sorry for not posting too often. I started a new part time job and I am still adjusting to it :)

Hope you weekend is fabulous,

Liza

Paper Rosettes

Hello there, crafting friends...

Just to let you know that these paper rosettes are really fun and they are surprisingly quick and easy!

My friend Ana and I made these giant paper rosettes that we stuck on a skewer and these are for our dear friend Alena's baby shower decor.

You need a Simply Scored Tool for this. Cut out the paper length for however big you want it to be. For the biggest one, I cut up 3 pieces of 3.5" x 12" piece of DSP. Then, simply score at 1/2" interval. Seriously, it is that simple.

This is how the Simply Scored Tool looks like and it has taken a permanent spot in my craft room :) and this is the link to it in my online store.

We decorated it with Grunge Rock stamp set and metal brads to go with the baby shower's theme.

I hope you enjoy.

Delicate Doilies Congrats

Happy Monday, crafting friends...

I haven't shared these cards that we made when my friend Dede came over to play :) We stamped a whole card stock sheet with the different images in the Delicate Doilies stamp set and made cards with the home made patterned paper.

And then, because I have a sliver of that patterned paper left over that I didn't want to waste, I made it into this congrats card.

I must be in love with Pool Party, it shows a lot on my projects, doesn't it?

Thank you for peeking today :)

Hugs,

Liza

Love Life ... Live Life

Happy Friday evening, crafting friends... Lovely sentiment, isn't it?

I have more to share on the Big Top Birthday Quick Accents with you today.

A bit of details that I love about this one: fun twine wrapped around the card and shiny Glimmer Brads :)

Pretty background paper from the Big Top Birthday DSP

The sentiment is from the "You're a Gem" stamp set. It has a collection of nice phrases in there that I find I reach out to quite often.

I love the banners on the paper and want to showcase it on this card :)

Here is all of them together, displayed in my craft room. Really makes me smile to see all of these happy little creations together. (Click on picture to make photo larger). I hope you like it, too :)

Thank you for peeking. Happy stamping to you.
