Birthday cards from friends...

Happy Monday!

I just had my birthday :) Here are some of the cards that I had received from friends...

From Stampin' Up! :

From Gaby (she is 14 and I think she has a great sense of color) :)

From my crafting friend and high school buddy: Lily... (it comes with a matching hand made box and a pair of pretty ear rings inside)

Thank you!! I am so blessed.

Sweet Little Love

Hello there, crafting friends...

This Pink Pirouette card is going all the way to Hong Kong to welcome baby Eliana :) (waving hi to Raquel)...

Sweet Little Love is just the perfect sentiment from Fabulous Phrases stamp set. The background paper is called DSP Beau Chateau, that I had cut up on the part that had those pretty flowers. I added a piece of Sticky Strip and Chantilly crochet trim, a Bashful Blue button tied with twine.

Other supplies that I have used include: Always Elegant stamp set, Spritz Tool and Pink Pirouette marker, Soft Suede ink and Sponge Dauber (for the edges) and Basic Pearls.

Sorry for not posting too often. I started a new part time job and I am still adjusting to it :)

Hope you weekend is fabulous,

Liza

Paper Rosettes

Hello there, crafting friends...

Just to let you know that these paper rosettes are really fun and they are surprisingly quick and easy!

My friend Ana and I made these giant paper rosettes that we stuck on a skewer and these are for our dear friend Alena's baby shower decor.

You need a Simply Scored Tool for this. Cut out the paper length for however big you want it to be. For the biggest one, I cut up 3 pieces of 3.5" x 12" piece of DSP. Then, simply score at 1/2" interval. Seriously, it is that simple.

This is how the Simply Scored Tool looks like and it has taken a permanent spot in my craft room :) and this is the link to it in my online store.

We decorated it with Grunge Rock stamp set and metal brads to go with the baby shower's theme.

I hope you enjoy.

Delicate Doilies Congrats

Happy Monday, crafting friends...

I haven't shared these cards that we made when my friend Dede came over to play :) We stamped a whole card stock sheet with the different images in the Delicate Doilies stamp set and made cards with the home made patterned paper.

And then, because I have a sliver of that patterned paper left over that I didn't want to waste, I made it into this congrats card.

I must be in love with Pool Party, it shows a lot on my projects, doesn't it?

Thank you for peeking today :)

Love Life ... Live Life

Happy Friday evening, crafting friends... Lovely sentiment, isn't it?

I have more to share on the Big Top Birthday Quick Accents with you today.

A bit of details that I love about this one: fun twine wrapped around the card and shiny Glimmer Brads :)

Pretty background paper from the Big Top Birthday DSP

The sentiment is from the "You're a Gem" stamp set. It has a collection of nice phrases in there that I find I reach out to quite often.

I love the banners on the paper and want to showcase it on this card :)

Here is all of them together, displayed in my craft room. Really makes me smile to see all of these happy little creations together. (Click on picture to make photo larger). I hope you like it, too :)

Thank you for peeking. Happy stamping to you.

Quick Accents: Big Top Birthday

Hello there, crafting friends...

It is mid term break in our household so I have not been around the computer much :) We took a family trip to the city of Jogja for a few days, exploring the city and the temples there and did some batik shopping.

I have been loving these Quick Accents lately, which is a set of self adhesive die cuts and paper ribbons. These are great short cuts for your projects and I love adding little fun details on top of them and stamped images that coordinate. {heart}... which just makes me a smile to see them all together :)

You can make anything: such as a tag like this... that I used to decorate a home made gift for a new neighbor last month.

Another card with a lovely sentiment from the Word Play stamp set.

And the fun little Mini Clothes Pin :) {heart}

And a set of paper baskets made from matching Big Top Birthday DSP and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch as the basket handle. These are for my friend Ami, who is going through chemotherapy right now. Hang in there, dear Ami!!

A happy banner card...

More clothes pin :) and happy color combo.

Thank you for peeking, crafting friends... Hope your week is fabulous.

Happy stamping,

Liza

Precious Butterflies journal

Hello there, crafting friends...

In a spur of the moment, I had this idea to dress up the On Board Journal from my post here as a birthday present for my dear friend and crafting buddy, Herly.

Using the Precious Butterflies stamp set, which is one of the hostess options in the Idea Book & Catalog, I stamped a scene on a piece of Scallop Square die cut. That became the front cover of the journal. My color combo are the new In Color 2011-2013: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, and Pool Party.

Personalizing it with her initial:

Added the row of ribbons:

Back cover view:

I brought it to her birthday party and had everyone write a special birthday wish and blessings for her.

Love you, Herly- what a blessing to get to know you.

Happy stamping to you all...

Rock Star Baby

Good morning, crafting friends...

My friend Ana is planning a special baby shower for our friend Alena who is getting ready to have a baby and transferring to a new posting at the same time. The theme will be "Rock Star Baby"... I think it is super! :)

I wanted to make a set of baby cards that Alena can use as her thank yous or baby announcement notes so I pulled out my Extreme Element stamp set for this project.

And made this FTL160 my starting point as the card layout.

Here is my card:

Color combo is Night of Navy, Certainly Celery and Rich Razzleberry, with some neutrals thrown in: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and a piece of Naturals White card stock.

The sentiment is flanked by 2 mini brads that I think go with the rock star theme :)

Thank you for peeking.

Forever Young

Hello there, crafting friends...

I really love that little girl swinging on a tree from the Forever Young stamp set. How fun...

I paired it with bits and pieces lying around my desk: Domestic Goddess DSP, Side Notes journaling postcard (ripped in half), and an oversized button from the Spice Cake buttons pack.

Here is the other ripped half Side Notes postcard. Paired with Pool Party ruffled ribbon.

Happy stamping,

Liza

(More) Side Notes

Happy October, crafting friends... I hope you enjoyed all the information/ specials in yesterday's post.

I am sharing the rest of my Side Notes collection :) This was a joy to make... I enjoyed using up all the different bits and pieces of the journaling tags and I love the subtle colors.

Here it is one by one:

I added a die cut doily to layer the 24/7 sentiment. My card base is Pink Pirouette.

A Marina Mist blue just for you:

In French:

I added a dash of Cajun Craze button there and embellished it with a mini clothespin and pearl. I sponge daubered Soft Suede ink over the clothes pin to make it look vintage.

A praying for you card. This sentiment comes from a set called Blessings from Heaven.

My friend Cassy gave me these Chocolate Chip butterflies, die cut from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Dies. They are so pretty.

I hope you enjoy....
