An apple for a teacher

Hello!! This being Saturday, I thought I would take a break from unpacking to play with color combos and stamp sets and since my friend Plackie asked for a thank you teacher image, I thought I would use that question as my starting point today. Here it is.

The apple image is colored with Garden Green and Ruby Red markers. Kraft card base and Garden Green patterned paper. I had a half piece of Top Note die lying around so I used that as my first focal point. I wrapped twine around it and stamped the sentiment. I thought adding the 2 brads would draw the eye to the sentiment so that was what I did.

The second card is a simple and fast one-in case you need to mass produce it- this would be the design to go for. Kraft card base, Garden Green patterned paper. The same image was punched out, mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals, sentiment and finished off with the brads.

A tip that I discovered: when you scallop an edge, make sure you reverse the paper/ cardstock so that the "right" side of the scallop shows. Sometimes I forgot to do this and I don't have the "smooth" side of the scallop. I hope I made myself clear?

Thanks for stopping by.
